Get ready for a celebration three centuries in the making. Join us in 2013 for Louisbourg300, a grand fête marking the 300th anniversary of the founding of Île Royale — known today as Cape Breton Island — and its capital, Louisbourg. There has never been a better time to experience history coming to life at North America’s largest historical reconstruction.

SuperFête de Saint-Louis

More festive than ever with Louisbourg300 celebrations! To mark 300 years of history, the Feast of Saint Louis (la Fête de Saint-Louis) has become a two-day SuperFête! Each day a special concert complements traditional Feast of Saint Louis activities: Saturday August 24th, rock on at the LouisRocks concert with JP Cormier and Matt Andersen at 7:30 pm ($30); and Sunday August 25th, dance to the Fiddles for the Fête with Natalie MacMaster, Donnell Leahy and 300 fiddlers at 3 pm (regular entry fee to the site, FREE with a fiddle that you can play). Other activities include buskers (Fri-Sat), vendors (Fri-Sat-Sun), culinary demonstrations (Fri-Sat), a garden party with our Governor for a day (Sat), fireworks (Sat. 9:30pm), dance demonstrations and workshops (Sun), and military demonstrations (Sat-Sun).
